Mr. Travise Billups

Travise BillupsMr. Billups is entering his 13th year in the field of education. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from Elizabeth City State University, a Master’s Degree in Exceptional Education from George Mason University, and a Certificate in Educational Leadership from Longwood University.

Mr. Billups has served as an assistant principal at both Caroline High School in Caroline County Public Schools and Yvonne B. Miller High School at Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center. He began his leadership career as a dean of students in Richmond Public Schools. Before transitioning into administration, Mr. Billups was a special education teacher with Henrico County Public Schools, working at both James River Juvenile Detention Center and the Virginia Randolph Education Center. He began his career in education as a substitute teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools before becoming an instructional assistant at a private day school while completing his graduate studies.

In his free time, Mr. Billups enjoys attending sporting events, going to the movies, and spending quality time with his friends and family.
