Mr. Stokes is entering his fourth year as assistant principal at Patrick Henry High School. This year will be his 16th year in Hanover County Public Schools. From 2002 to 2015, Mr. Stokes was an assistant principal at Atlee High School. From 2015 through 2018, he worked as a principal and associate principal in Danville Public schools.
Mr. Stokes began his career as a teacher and a coach in Henrico County Public Schools. While there he taught social studies and coached football, wrestling, and track at Highland Springs High School.
Mr. Stokes holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a minor in education from James Madison University and a master’s degree in administration and supervision from the University of Virginia.
Mr. Stokes currently resides in Hanover with his wife, Susan, and has three children and two granddaughters.
