Welcome to the Patrick Henry High School International Baccalaureate Program! Authorization to become an IB World School is a rigorous, two to three year process. Every five years, schools are required to go through a review to attain reauthorization. The IB Program is a prestigious international program that offers a rigorous course of study that meets the needs of highly motivated students. This program provides students with the life skills necessary for success in a global society. In addition to the academic rigor, IB helps create well-rounded students by requiring participation in community service and extracurricular activities. Enrollment in the IB program is open to all students, which allows students to complete the IB Diploma requirements or take individual IB courses.

IB Mission Statement
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end, the organization works with schools, governments, and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
