Brandon Farrar

Mr. Farrar is entering his second year as assistant principal at Patrick Henry High School after working the previous two years as senior teacher. This will be his 10th year overall serving students and families in Hanover County Public Schools. He previously served as a Spanish and emerging leaders teacher, assistant athletics director, and World Languages Department chair at Mechanicsville High School. Additionally, Mr. Farrar was a swim coach, club sponsor, and served on a variety of school and division committees. He also developed and implemented the Positive Dogs leadership group and Chick fil A Leader Academy.

Mr. Farrar has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a master’s degree in teaching from James Madison University. He then furthered his education at the University of Virginia earning a master of education degree with an endorsement in administration and supervision. He currently is studying to earn his Doctor of Education degree through Virginia Commonwealth University. He actively serves as a member on the JMU College of Education Executive Advisory Council.

Mr. Farrar is a proud graduate of Hanover County Public Schools and currently resides in the county.
